Description
Advanced Hollow Carbon Tip Technology
For years, our Hi-‘S’ Carp and Power Feeder rods have showcased the benefits of hollow carbon quiver tips—offering superior casting accuracy, smoother power transfer and exceptional bite sensitivity. The Hi-‘S’ Barbel Feeder range brings that same technology into heavier specialist rods designed for barbel and chub.
Traditional river feeder setups often rely on Avon-style tops or very heavy solid quiver tips. Although functional, they frequently lack the perfect combination of resistance and sensitivity required for modern barbel fishing. Our hollow carbon quiver tips solve this problem. They provide greater resistance in the flow while maintaining a smooth curve with no hinge point, resulting in clearer, more positive bite indication even in challenging conditions.
Three Purpose-Built Models
- Hi-‘S’ Barbel Feeder 12’ – A superb specimen-style rod for rivers such as the Trent, Severn, Wye and Avon in normal conditions. Supplied with a 3oz hollow carbon quiver tip.
- Hi-‘S’ Barbel Feeder S.U. 12’ – A more powerful version equipped with a 5oz hollow carbon tip for stronger flows and heavier feeder weights.
- Hi-‘S’ Barbel Feeder S.U. 13’ – Designed for demanding, high-flow conditions. The additional length improves line control, lift and presentation when the river is pushing hard.
During field testing, both S.U. models also excelled for extreme-range feeder fishing for carp on large stillwaters, proving their versatility beyond river use.
