After Sales Service

All after-sales service is handled by our authorised retail outlets. In the event of any issues, the customer should contact the retail outlet where the product was purchased, as they will be able to assist directly. Our retailers are carefully selected for their product support and will endeavour to resolve swiftly and efficiently any matters relating to both warranty and non-warranty issues.

We aim to provide excellent backup, with strong spares availability, and to deal promptly with any issues that arise once brought to our attention.

Warranty

All Free Spirit Match products are covered by a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and breakage where the product is deemed to be at fault.

Please note that we are very experienced in dealing with the rare occasions where manufacturing defects arise, and that any such defect—particularly those relating to breakage—will normally occur within the first or second use.

Carbon is extremely strong when used correctly, but certain actions can significantly increase the chance of breakage and would not be covered by our warranty. These include bending the tip right back on itself (for example, when setting the rod up) or any knocks or impacts to the carbon walls, which can weaken the structure and lead to failure. Always check that the line is not wrapped around the tip, as this dramatically increases the chance of tip breakage. Breaks so close to the tip guide are almost always caused by customer error.

We do try to view each case on its merit and will often give customers the benefit of the doubt. We believe our policy is fair to those with genuine issues, while also allowing us to keep product and spare parts prices at an extremely competitive level. For this reason, we do not inflate spare parts prices and indeed will often offer very favourable prices to ensure our customers are well looked after.
