Description
Engineered for Extreme Range
At the core of the Hi-‘S’ Power Feeder XSD rods is our high-quality low-resin Japanese carbon, chosen to deliver the power, recovery and stability required for serious long-range feeder fishing. Designed specifically for extreme-distance work, the blanks load progressively and recover quickly, allowing heavy feeders to be cast with accuracy and confidence. Available in 12ft (360) and 13ft (390) lengths, both models have proven their performance during extensive UK and European testing.
Hollow carbon quiver tips are seamlessly integrated into the quiver top section, creating a smooth transition that helps eliminate tip bounce during the cast. This improved recovery is a key factor in achieving long, straight casts, while the reinforced butt section provides the authority needed to punch feeders to distance and remain in control under heavy load.
Premium Carbon Construction
The blank is finished with a 1k woven carbon outer layer, enhancing durability while maintaining a clean, technical appearance. A Perdurable coating is applied to protect the blank from wear and abrasion, helping preserve both performance and cosmetics over years of demanding use.
Fuji Reel Seat
Each rod is fitted with a robust Fuji KDPS16 reel seat, selected to provide a secure and stable platform for larger reels commonly used in extreme-range feeder fishing. The design ensures reliability and confidence when casting heavy payloads repeatedly at maximum distance.
Handle Configuration
A full cork handle with EVA front grip offers comfort and control during repeated long casts, helping reduce fatigue while maintaining a positive grip in all conditions. The handle layout is designed to balance the rod effectively and provide leverage when casting and playing fish at range.
Quiver Tip & Guide Setup
Both XSD models are supplied with a 5oz hollow carbon quiver tip, matched precisely to the blank for heavy-duty distance work. Optional 3oz and 4oz hollow carbon tips are also available, allowing the rod to be tuned to conditions and payload. The guide setup features twin-leg anti-frap butt and first intermediate guides for strength and stability under load, with single-leg intermediate guides used to reduce overall weight. Stepped guide sizing allows for the easy use of shock leaders.
