Waggler fishing is a beautiful way to catch fish in winter. You can catch fish outside the range of pole fishing tactics while feeding them a variety of baits, such as pellets and maggots.

We are back at Springvale Lakes in Newark, Nottinghamshire, as the fishing is so good. With abundant species to target, it is a great place for Rob Wootton to showcase some of his waggler fishing tips to help you catch more fish. Rob talks you through feeding patterns and the types of wagglers he prefers depending on the conditions, changing depths, hook lengths, and more great waggler fishing advice as he targets the chub, ide, roach and carp in Duchess Lake.

If you want to get some bites grab your rod, some pellets and maggots, and a few waggers. Then, use the tips in the video, and you should have a great day fishing.

Big thanks to Sue at Springvale Lakes for the fantastic hospitality and use of the lake, if you want a venue where you can catch an array of different species such as carp, chub, barbel, skimmers, bream, roach, hybrids and ide, then get yourself down there as you will have a lovely fishing session and in beautiful surroundings.
